Home to Chico we come! We are so excited! Ever since we moved away from Chico, my heart strings have been pulled in a big way to return. I didn't realize it until we made the decision to move back that I had been counting down the days until it was possible. Well, it's now possible and we hope to move next Thursday! Wa Hoo! I can't wait for long walks in the park, hot hot summer days (yes, I am even thankful for the hot weather), sipping coffee with a good magazine in hand at Bidwell Perk, friends, family, farmer's market, not having to drive 30 minutes to get the simpest things, 24 hour stores, Costco only a drive away! Yay for Chico! Since we have rentors in our house until July, that leaves us looking for a place to live......still up in the air but we have some time to figure all those details out.
I am so blessed and excited to get my job back on DCU without a question, no interview process, no nothing. I just need to go sign my hire paper work. It could not have been easier. Now, I have not officially accepted it because I have an interview with the ER on Friday at 1:00. I am excited about this possibility considering most of my nursing experience is in the ER and Trauma. Secondly, they have a 3-3 shift open which is still considered night shift so I get the fatty bonus and 3.00 more an hour. Not to meniton a 3-3 which is so much better than 7-7! I'm super excited. So, we'll see where the interview process leads. The manager said there are a ton of applicants, more than she could have ever expected so I don't know how likely I am to actually get the job. But.....I can walk back to my old floor without a question. So, there is a very good back up plan, both jobs I know I will love. No matter what anyone says about Enloe, after working at 3 different hospitals up here, it is truly an amazing place to work.
So, yay for family, yay for friends, a church community, and grandparents who are excited to babysit! Maybe date night can be reinstated? It's been a while.....
